剧情简介 《沧海无情》是1953年的一部战争片。由查尔斯·弗伦德执导，杰克·霍金斯、唐纳德·辛顿、约翰·斯特拉顿等联袂主演。沧海无情，又名The Cruel Sea。The World War II adventures of a British convoy escort ship and its officers.
At the start of World War II, Cmdr. Ericson is assigned to convoy escort HMS Compass Rose with inexperienced officers and men just out of training. The winter seas make life miserable enough, but the men must also harden themselves to rescuing survivors of U-Boat attacks, while seldom able to strike back. 赱馬觀♣ 说：“这是一个有关大西洋战争的故事。海的故事。两艘船，若干人。人是男主角，船是女主角，仅有的坏蛋是海，残酷的海，由于人类而变得更加残酷。”……只是叙事进程未及引言精彩。除了碾压自家水兵也要先击沉德潜与休假回家悲闻妻子死于轰炸等个别桥段，总体太过局限心理与我方，内部冲突却不够。三星半。
pissoff 说：仅有的两次护卫舰和潜艇对战，没有波澜壮阔的海战场景，甚至uboat到电影最后十分钟才现身给人匆匆一瞥，但气氛一直营造得很到位。这些寂寂无名在战争洪流中被推着走的小人物，或生或死或永远背负着心理阴影，看到最后只让人一起感叹一句：damn the war
