剧情简介 《深入社交网络:Facebook困难的一年》是2019年的一部纪录片。深入社交网络:Facebook困难的一年，又名Inside the Social Network:Facebook's Difficult Year。Facebook is a company that has grown from nothing to be worth half a trillion dollars in just 15 years. Today nearly a third of all humans are using it, and yet we rarely get to see the people actually in charge of the biggest social network in the world. The company has suffered a series of deepening scandals and intense media scrutiny. In 2018, their mission - to connect everyone on the planet - seemed to be going dramatically wrong. Data leaks, fake news and hacks on user security were threatening to destroy everything Mark Zuckerberg had built. Yet throughout this difficult time, the company allowed the BBC’s flagship science strand Horizon to follow key members of the team trying to fix the problems and secure the platform. This film goes behind the scenes and follows the teams inside Facebook. It tackles difficult questions, like how our data is used and what content should and shouldn’t be on the site, but also shows how Facebook works, what the teams are doing to secure it, and reveals a hidden technological playground, where some of the smartest engineers in the world are being hired to build systems and technology no one has built before.

马府 村 说：facebook把用户的数据贩卖或者泄露给了数据分析公司，然后根据分析结果给用户精确投放政治广告，以此来影响选举。这才是Facebook做的坏事。但是这部纪录片讲的是，一部分用户会利用Facebook干很多坏事，比如诈骗，儿童色情，Facebook用了各种方法包括人工和AI来保护其他用户。这部片子就是Facebook的广告。
harriet 说：not as disastrous as the title says, mainly ppl doing their jobs n showing how the 'disaster' is bc Facebook's mantra is trying for new n not fear failing. company ambition vs state management restraint is one interesting episode but lack depth. wanna see more of the psychological impact, criminal acts n its big plans for the future

"AI oversight", the smartest motion detectors, and access of information...as MZ is calling for greater government regulation to define what content should and shouldn't be allowed on social media platforms --- why, are we talking about the disadvantages of having no written law?
