人生只有一次机会，教育方式对孩子未来的影响深远；让孩子在家上学，是一种挑战，也是一个不容许失败的实验……。本片探访四个有着截然不同背景，却同样选择自学的家庭，透过子女与家长的经验分享，来呈现当今台湾自学现象的样貌。 追求自己孩子快乐成长，与望儿女成龙成凤的期许是否相互矛盾呢？究竟我们该为孩子准备一个怎样的学习环境呢？不同背景环境的家庭与不同资质的孩子如何选择合适的教育方式？到底什么对孩子才是最好的？ This film looks at four different families – the Polish and Taiwanese CHEN-WERNIK family, the traditional ZHAN family, the LUO family, who adjusted to traditional education yet still chose homeschooling, and the MALCOLM family, who had experienced hurdles in school and found solace in a non-traditional school – and examines their backgrounds which led them all to homeschooling, their situations, and their stories.
