But how far would you go to find material for the ultimate bestseller At a writer's retreat on an isolated island, novelist Zandra finds herself amongst a group of strangers confronting their darkest secrets as they write. When a member of the party mysteriously disappears, Zandra fears there is a more sinister presence trapped on the island with them. WRITERS RETREAT is filmed in a classic British Hammer Horror style using the strange features of its location to create a hauntingly terrifying film with atmosphere and menace. The script delves deep into human emotions and honesty, causing the characters to ask questions about themselves that they didn't know they had and question the audience as to whether things are quite what they seem.

paradiso 说：英国的断网写作班，前半煞有介事铺垫了一堆人物结果虽是暴风雪山庄模式却没有任何本格属性，死了几个人后凶手直接跳出来继续屠杀，假如剧中作家写得就这德行还是洗洗睡吧别当写作班老师骗钱了。
文戏 说：。。。一系列愚蠢的选择导致了最悲催的后果，表面上是变态老头杀了除了主角外的所有人，事实上是所有人的愚蠢选择让他们在面临危机的时候间接害死了自己，的确是可悲，愚蠢的可悲。
宝井惠 说：我还以为是讲怎么写小说的电影呢……结果一个糟老头就能团灭，太蠢了……
