“...when the natives see you, the tourist, they envy you. They envy your own ability to leave your own banality and boredom. They envy your ability to turn their own banality and boredom into a source of pleasure for yourself.”
A very touching documentary depicting the impacts of globalisation and the influences exercised by the IFIs on Jamaica. The problems that Jamaica is confronted with are widespread in developing countries, and maybe only they themselves could find the right solutions.
