A filmed lecture, with no audience, that dates back to 2004 - therefore preceding the birth of YouTube & Zizek's starification - in which the philosopher develops some of his most defining theories. By then Zizek had since long been an established figure in the world of intellectuals, his most most important though very first book having been published in 1989. The content of the lecture is much more focused & explanatory than his most recent contributions, and it should not be much problematic to follow the logic of his discourse. He does dive into the realm of mental masturbation with Lacan's psychoanalytical triptych and its interweaved nature, but mainly sticks to the main topic.
