影片据格鲁吉亚人民诗人列昂尼泽的同名散文诗集改编。在诗集中，列昂尼泽怀着深深的感激和眷恋记录了他童年的感受。这里有诗人对故乡的回忆、童年生活的印象，还有少年时代丰富美丽的遐想。诗集由21个独立成篇的小故事组成。每一个故事里都有一个鲜明的抒情形象。

4300.如今看来是太套路啦，神经病小村儿不算俄国味儿，倒是跟拉美魔幻现实主义颇有渊源，又有后来库斯图里察和大陆第五代……拍了太多长焦，又讲了太多寓言……总之不如导演[祈祷]那么诗性也不如[项链]那么随性；还算有美和悲剧吧。
