over the top, excessive, comic self-mockery. the 1960s color palette on wide screen is spectacular. the big brother who dies after killing all yakuzas who are after him, the lucky clueless and reckless younger brother, and their ever worrying mother...the ending is a bit too long

好神奇好疯狂的片，铃木清顺果然take nothing seriously，最严肃最煽情的一场戏用了最意想不到最违合最搞笑的方式呈现，太会玩了。难怪美国人这么喜欢……哥哥挂掉前跑步的动作绝逼是致敬Breathless吧，只不过又戏谑地用了lateral tracking shot instead of moving in depth. 好高兴没因为写paper错过

对surface的注重 受kabuki的影响 self-reference以及对自己影片类型的嘲讽 pace非常有意思 铃木真是妙人
